We believe a great flooring experience starts before the first board is touched. Here's exactly how we work from your first call through final walk-through.

What to Expect When You Work With Us

We've been in business since 1951, and in that time we've refined a client experience that's as smooth and transparent as possible. No surprises, no upsells, no pressure. You'll know exactly what's happening, when it's happening, and what's expected of you at each stage. Below is our standard procedure for new clients from the first call through job completion and follow-up.

Our Client Onboarding Process

Initial Contact

Reach out by phone, text, or our online form. Tell us what you're working with the type of service you need, approximate square footage, and your timeline. We respond within one business day and will ask a few follow-up questions to understand your project.

Free In-Home Estimate

We schedule a visit to your home to assess the floors in person. We measure the space, evaluate the condition of the wood, discuss your goals and finish preferences, and answer any questions you have. There is no charge for this visit and no obligation to move forward.

Written Quote

After the estimate visit, we provide a written quote with a clear breakdown of scope, materials, timeline, and price. No hidden fees what you see is what you pay. We'll walk you through the quote and give you time to review it before making any decision.

Scheduling & Pre-Job Prep

Once you approve the quote, we schedule your job. We'll let you know what prep work is needed on your end before we arrive typically: clearing furniture from the work area, ensuring the space is accessible, and accommodating a 24-48 hour period where the area can't be used during and after finishing.

Job Day

Our crew arrives on time, protected with floor coverings and dust containment equipment. We walk you through what's happening before we start and keep you informed throughout the day. We work cleanly, respectfully, and professionally in your home.

Final Walk-Through

When the job is complete, we walk through the space with you. We verify you're satisfied with the results, review the curing timeline and care instructions, and answer any final questions. If anything needs to be addressed, we take care of it before we leave.

Follow-Up & Warranty

We stand behind our work. If you refinished with our Bona Mega or Bona Traffic HD system, your warranty documentation is provided at this stage. We're available after the job if any questions come up and we're always here for future maintenance visits or projects.
