Hardwood Floor Installation · NJ
From subfloor prep to final finish: precision installation by a family that's been doing this since 1951.
Expert Craftsmanship
Gorsegner Brothers is fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial hardwood floor installation throughout New Jersey. Installing hardwood floors is one of the most impactful upgrades you can make to your home. Beautiful hardwood adds warmth, character, and long-term value when installed correctly. At Gorsegner Brothers, our nationally certified installers combine expert craftsmanship with high-quality materials to deliver hardwood floors built to last for generations.
What sets our installation process apart is the attention we give to the details beneath the surface. Every project begins with a review of your home's moisture and humidity levels to ensure the environment is right for hardwood flooring. We then reinforce the existing plywood subfloor by re-screwing it for added stability before installation begins.
Instead of standard rosin paper, we install a high-performance vapor barrier called Vapor Shield, and we secure each board using manufacturer-recommended cleats rather than ordinary staples.
These steps may seem small, but they make a big difference. The difference between floors that look great for 10 years and floors that look great for 50 comes down almost entirely to how well they're installed.

Choosing Your Floor
Both are real hardwood. The right choice depends on where it's going, what's underneath it, and how your home deals with humidity. We'll help you pick during the consultation. Here's a quick overview.
One continuous piece of wood from top to bottom. The traditional standard. Can be sanded and refinished many times over its lifetime.
Best for: Living rooms, bedrooms, main floors
A real hardwood veneer bonded over multiple plywood layers. More dimensionally stable than solid. Handles humidity and moisture much better.
Best for: Kitchens, basements, over concrete
How It Works
We visit your home, assess the space, measure the square footage, and walk you through your options: wood type, species, stain direction, finish type. You get a detailed written quote sent by email and text, usually within 24 hours. No pressure, no obligation.
Once you sign off and the deposit is in, we schedule your start date and take care of everything: removal of old flooring, subfloor prep, wood acclimation, installation, sanding, stain selection, and finish application. You'll get a notification the evening before each day's work begins.
Before we consider the job done, we do a complete walkthrough with you. Every plank, every transition, every edge. If anything doesn't meet your expectations, we address it before we leave. Your satisfaction is the finish line, not the last coat of polyurethane.
