What does a Hardwood Flooring Inspector do for me?

In the event you are having some manner of trouble with your flooring, hiring an independent NWFA inspector to assess any issues with the floor will give you the opportunity to have a professional trained in troubleshooting material issues, climate control issues, or manufacturer defects that may be preventing your floors from looking their best.

An NWFA Certified Inspector is an impartial judge of flooring and can usually tell after a thorough walk through of the home, testing with equipment, and years of knowledge and schooling what is ailing your floor.

Does it cost anything to have a NWFA Certified Inspector to come my home?

Yes. Hiring an NWFA Inspector to come in and assess your floors does cost time and money. In return, you will get a report stating what is wrong with your flooring that will be submitted to the parties responsible. The report of an NWFA Inspector is often the last word on what is ailing your floors and comes backed by the authority of the NWFA through the process of certification of the inspector (a long process which included a great deal of schooling and many inspections to test the inspector) As a result of the quality and authority of such a report, it is necessary for payment to be made prior to or at the time of an inspection.

Will this Inspector be certified for inspecting work done by this parent company?

Absolutely not. While Mr. Gorsegner's experience and training will be an asset to you during the in-home consultation and throughout the job process, any conflicts of interest are immediately addressed and remediated. Part of being a certified inspector is having the presence of mind to remove oneself from a job your company may already be a part of. You have our assurance that we will not be involving ourselves in inspecting any job that already has the Gorsegner Brothers name already attached to it.
